Our Kindergartners will be introduced to the Spanish language through the delivery of comprehensible input, using 90% plus Spanish for instruction. This course focuses on developing students communication skills in the target language, while making cross curricular connections. Students will be engaged in meaningful and motivating Spanish language activities and will begin learning the target language by singing songs, playing games and completing activities that incorporate vocabulary about themselves and the world around them. Students will successfully communicate personal information about themselves while making connections with other people in their family and the classroom. The goal is for our kindergarten students to understand and communicate at the word level. This includes independently identifying and recognizing memorized words and phrases in Spanish.
